Please note, If you are using Google Chrome as your preferred browser then you can get access Grammarly's full functionality in the Grammarly sidebar in Google Docs.

To use Grammarly in Google Docs need to install a browser extension. Grammarly makes spelling, grammar, and punctuation suggestions.

Grammarly is better editor in general, it caught more errors than the Google Docs editor did as per my experiences.



Steps to follow:

Click the Extension icon in the toolbar at the top of the browser. Open a Google Doc. open an existing Google document or create a new one and click the G icon in the lower right corner of the browser window.

Find the Grammarly Webpage. Download The Grammarly Chrome Extension. Click the Grammarly extension icon in the upper-right corner of your browser.

In the drop-down, click Grammarly. Open It And Click On The Blue Button. Flip the Check for writing suggestions on Google Docs toggle switch to on. Make sure Check for writing.

Now Grammarly is ready to use in a Google Docs………



Is Grammarly free or not_

To identifying most spelling and grammar errors as basic function of Grammarly is free and if required more robust version then charge will be $29.95/monthly basis.


Grammarly alternatives_

Who need more advanced features, ProWritingAid, WhiteSmoke & Ginger these are suitable as Grammarly alternative. To perform translations and error checking in multiple languages the LanguageTool and Reverso are better.




How to add Grammarly to Google Docs on iPad_

Go to My Grammarly to get access to the Grammarly Editor option. Then create new documents and edit existing ones available here. Tap Keyboard at the bottom of the screen to set up your keyboard. Go to Settings > System.

Go to Languages & input > Virtual keyboard

Find Manage keyboard and Tap on it

In Manage keyboards option you will find the list of keyboards installed on your Android phone all time.

Make sure to turn off the toggle for Grammarly and you are done.
